Deutsche Hospitality, a prominent hotel company of European origin with German heritage, has undergone a rebranding and is now known as H World International. This strategic move aims to bolster the global expansion efforts of its parent company, H World, beyond Chinese borders. As part of this rebranding, all brands under H World International will integrate into the H Rewards global loyalty and online booking system. The diverse brand portfolio encompasses Steigenberger Icons, Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotels, Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts, Jaz in the City, House of Beats, IntercityHotel, Maxx, and Zleep Hotels. Additionally, the brand family welcomes Ji Hotel, a rapidly growing midscale brand from H World China, marking its international debut with the opening of Ji Hotel Orchard Singapore, the first establishment outside China. Oliver Bonke has been appointed CEO of H World International, alongside the existing leadership team from the erstwhile Deutsche Hospitality. Both Oliver Bonke and Choon Wah Wong, the CFO of H World International, will continue as Managing Directors at Steigenberger Hotels GmbH. The company’s operational footprint spans across Europe, the Middle East, India & Africa (MEIA), and the Asia Pacific (APAC) regions.

“The rebranding to H World International is ushering in a new chapter of international growth, complementing our vast presence in China”, says Jin Hui, CEO of H World. “It is an important step towards our goal to become a world-class global hotel group, with one global team.”

In an effort to accelerate its growth within the APAC region, H World International has formed a joint venture with Conduit House, a seasoned hotel operator and hospitality asset management firm in Asia. This collaboration aims to leverage Conduit House’s extensive experience, connections, and networks in Asia, as articulated by CEO Bonke, highlighting the positive outlook for this strategic partnership.

“We are excited to bring all of our distinctive brands to key global markets. With our compelling value proposition for owners and investors, we will be able to offer our employees career opportunities across the globe and 218 million H Rewards members more choice – an even more attractive hotel portfolio, in more destinations, and across more brands”, says Oliver Bonke.

H World International has also announced the signing of five new agreements across its key growth markets. These include the partnership with Tantakitt Company Limited for the Montien Surawong Bangkok, a Steigenberger Hotel in Thailand, and agreements for the Maxx Huay Yai Villa in Pattaya, Thailand, and the Steigenberger Resort Byoum Lakeside in Egypt. Additionally, the company has expanded its presence in Oman with the IntercityHotel Bawshar in Muscat and has announced new additions in Europe, including the historical Bielefelder Hof in Germany and new Zleep Hotels in Denmark and Switzerland, with further openings planned in Bern and Göppingen.
