New York Downtown

Nestled in the vibrant Tribeca neighborhood, surrounded by picturesque cobblestone streets, chic boutiques, art galleries, and culinary delights, the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown proudly presents the latest edition of its innovative pop-up retail concept, The Edit. This series, housed within the third-floor boutique of The Spa, stands as a celebration of fashion, offering a unique and interactive shopping experience that connects guests with the local culture and style.

Dedicated to highlighting the diverse and rich cultural fabric of New York, the hotel curates an exceptional journey into fashion for its visitors. The Edit not only showcases the latest trends but also serves as a platform for both renowned and up-and-coming New York designers, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the city’s dynamic fashion scene. With a rotating roster of designers, The Edit epitomizes the vitality and charm of New York’s fashion industry.

In the wake of New York Fashion Week, The Edit will feature four distinguished designers from February 15 to April 30, 2024: Connor McKnight, Jessie Zhao, Muehleder, and Puppets and Puppets.

Connor McKnight brings a luxurious fashion brand that captures the essence of Black life, exploring emotions and vulnerabilities with a fresh perspective. Addressing the lack of nuanced representation, his designs focus on underrepresented moments, offering a fuller narrative of Black experiences. McKnight’s creations merge modern elegance with classic craftsmanship, challenging traditional luxury standards by elevating everyday wear into high fashion, inspired by his upbringing in Washington, DC.

Jessie Zhao, an acclaimed Asian-American designer, has been enchanting the fashion world with her beautifully hand-drawn silk scarves since launching her brand in 2018. Her work celebrates the confluence of nature, art, and fashion, reflecting her diverse background and experiences. Known for her dedication to quality and creativity, Zhao’s brand has evolved to include a variety of products, each piece a testament to her artistic vision and connection to the natural world.

Muehleder is the creative vision of Larissa Muehleder, who draws inspiration from her vibrant Nigerian heritage. Her designs feature bold colors and dramatic silhouettes that embody individuality and self-expression. Having moved to Brooklyn, NY, in the late ‘90s, Larissa understands the power of first impressions and designs for women who seek to express their inner confidence and charisma through fashion.

Puppets and Puppets, founded by Carly Mark in 2018, is a brand that blends fine art and fashion, known for its eclectic and theatrical designs. With a focus on sustainability, the label incorporates recycled materials into its creations, offering a unique and avant-garde take on fashion that challenges conventional norms and encourages a forward-thinking approach to style.

Each designer featured in The Edit brings a unique voice and vision to the New York fashion scene, offering guests at the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown an exclusive glimpse into the city’s diverse and innovative style landscape.
