With such a huge choice, not to mention almost 300 villa properties on sale through Jet2Villas, holidaymakers can choose from an enormous selection of accommodation options to suit their budgets and needs.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have announced that their continued investment into marketing and expanding their Greek programme means that 2024 now represents the companies’ biggest ever programme of flights and holidays to Greece.
As a result of enormous expansion, supported by a heavyweight joint-marketing campaign with Greek National Tourist Organization (GNTO), the UK’s largest tour operator and third largest airline has an unrivalled choice of destinations on sale across Greece from the UK. This programme represents over 100 routes on sale from across 11 UK airports to 14 Greek airports. In addition, customers can choose from 20 holiday destinations in 2024 with Jet2holidays.
As well as launching Symi and Athens Coast for Summer 24, in direct response to enormous demand from customers and independent travel agents looking to book a holiday to Greece, the companies will also launch seven brand new routes in 2024. These new routes are:
- Liverpool – Corfu
- Liverpool – Heraklion
- Liverpool – Kos
- Liverpool – Rhodes (exclusive)
- Liverpool – Zante (exclusive)
- Birmingham – Mytilene
- Newcastle – Chania
The companies have over 1.52 million arriving seats on sale to Greece in 2024, a 12% capacity increase, with almost 320 weekly flights operating per week during peak periods. In total, Jet2 will operate to 14 Greek airports this year – Athens, Corfu, Chania (Crete), Heraklion (Crete), Kefalonia, Halkidiki, Kos, Kalamata, Lesvos, Preveza, Rhodes, Skiathos, Santorini and Zante.
In addition to adding new routes and holiday destinations for UK holidaymakers to choose from, the companies have also listened to customer and partner demand by extending the summer season with more capacity added in March and April to Crete (Heraklion), Corfu, Lesvos, Rhodes and Santorini. As well as adding capacity and extending the early Summer season, the companies have also extended their Crete (Heraklion) and Rhodes programmes until mid-November.
As well as offering unrivalled choice and flexibility through this huge flying programme with Jet2.com, customers can choose from almost 1,500 2-5-star hotels with Jet2holidays, with 200 new hotels on sale in 2024.
To support this expansion, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays launched a huge joint-marketing campaign with long-standing partner, GNTO, a year ago. Designed to raise awareness and engagement, the partnership represented a huge multi-channel campaign running throughout the year, and has led to hugely successful results in terms of visibility, reach and engagement. Examples of the campaign in action include offline and online advertising, social media campaigns, press & influencer trips, as well as high-profile partnership activity promoting Greece as the perfect holiday destination.
The CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has praised this partnership and confirmed the companies’ continued commitment to investing in the promotion and expansion of its Greece programme.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “This year will see us operate our biggest ever programme to Greece and we have invested significantly in ensuring that customers know all about this fantastic destination, and ensuring that they enjoy our award-winning and industry-leading experience when they travel to Greece with us. Greece offers UK holidaymakers perfect holidays in amazing hotels with guaranteed sunshine, and these are just a few of the many reasons why it continues to be such a firm favourite with our customers.”
He added: “As well as expanding and investing in this incredible country, a critical driver of our success in Greece is the partnerships we enjoy, and our long-standing partnership with GNTO is a perfect example of this. We are looking forward to our biggest ever year in Greece and our joint marketing campaign with GNTO, promoting everything Greece has to offer, is absolutely critical to our ongoing growth and success. This is a real investment in our growth in the country, and we look forward to continuing to boost awareness and sales with our partners through this innovative campaign work, especially early in the year which is such a key booking period for UK holidaymakers.”
